RABBLE

Street rabble starts occupying a square and prepares to usher in a new world order. From under a heap on te ground rises their instrument, a robot with a personality. The rabble teaches it to understand the world and to move, they want to integrate it: they alternate, part teching the robot, part sitting on the scaffolds. The robot learns a little, doesn't grasp a lot, then it tries competing with the rabble, and finally falls in love with one of them. A conflict ensues and the endangered rabble "deactivates" the robot. But they mourn its demise and are preparing its funeral, when the robot suddenly returns to life - it has its own "soul" now - and, in a dynamic final scene, it sends the rabble to conquer the world. more

LEGENDS OF MAGIC PRAGUE

In a new multimedia project the audience is introduced to legends, for which Prague is famous: the tale of the most famous inhabitants of the Faust House - Faust and the English alchymist Edward Kelley; the legend of Chanina, the daughter of a Jewish merchant, who refuses bridegrooms offered her and, drawn by her love of a mysterious Lord of the River Vltava, steps into the river and returns to the roofs of Prague only in the shape of a green cat; the stories of secret meetings between the Emperor Rudolf II and the mystic and great personality of the Jewish culture in Prague - Rabbi Löwe and his homunculus Golem; and last but not least the legend connected with the construction of the Astronomical Clock of the Old Town. more

How well do we know K. H. Mácha's legendary poem May? It seems like all of us Czechs are able to recall its first lines. Is that really all? And if so, is that enough? Are we aware of its content, details, its atmosphere and universal character? The company 420PEOPLE present a new piece that goes far beyond their experience in the field of contemporary dance. Václav Kuneš, the company's choreographer, got together with the actor, and in this case also director, David Prachař and they have created May, a piece in which they both also perform. more
