1 bit represents a piece of information we receive in an answer to a yes/no question. A bit is mostly applied as a basic unit of memory capacity. The New Stage glass block facade can in a way be viewed as a type of bit field. This fact inspired the artistic group SPAM to create a new audiovisual project. more

The life journey of Giacomo Casanova, who became the symbol of an unflagging and passionate womanizer. A colorful composition of music, film and dance will let you take a glimpse into the destinies of this famous man, whose stormy life created a legend. more

WONDERFUL CIRCUS

A permanent resident of Laterna magika´s repertory, a piece that has, since its first night in 1977, bred generations of dancers. Despite its age, it hasn´t ceased to lure spectators by its poetic character and subtle humour. The theme for the show Rendez-vous is a dark encounter between a Matador and Death. The French stage director Jean-Pierre Aviotte dealt with the exclusive event of a south-French corrida, the meticulous preparation of the matador and the bullfight itself. It resulted in a fascinating scenic patchwork of filmic, musical, choreographic and acrobatic extravaganza. more

About people who spend their lives in an office environment, their functions directed by a system: hierarchy at the expense of feeling, mood, personal initiative, and emotion. Package is a dream about just one moment, when in the face of every such law and limiting prejudice we are able to reach in a way other than that dictated by the rules. What happens when one link in the chain of the office stereotype breaks free as far as human fantasy can go? And who’ll join in? more
