COCKTAIL 008

The best moments of these past years’ shows at the Laterna magika depicted in one patchwork evening performance. A fresh shower of dynamic rhythm, playful motions and lyrical passages, framed in an appealing video-collage. The first part of the evening is composed of a selection of the audience’s most appreciated scenes, the second part is devoted to the newest creations, it also presents in a peculiar manner the now world-famous principles of the Laterna magika through a retro revue. more

DIVERSITY OF DANCE

For this programme Bohemia Balet, the ensemble of Dance Conservatory of the City of Prague, has chosen choreographies created by Czech artists. After a long time the audience will have the opportunity to see the piece Trio in G minor (to music by B. Smetana) created by one of the Czech most renowned choreographers, Pavel Šmok. Besides, the night will present the piece Musica Slovaca by I. Zelenka and, last but not least, two choreographies created by young artists: Air created by Lucie Holánková to music by J. S. Bach, and L´Unità made by David Stránský to the soundtrack from the movie Babel. more

GUIDED TOUR - HISTORY OF THE BUILDING OF THE NEW STAGE

Guided tour backstage and around the public spaces of the New Stage. Get to know the history and explore the décor of the building. Take a peek backstage; see the wig studio, the costume department, and lots of rooms you never even knew existed. How do they move the scenery around on the main stage and where do the actors change? The building housing New Stage is a controversial piece of architecture which back to the 80´s. We are looking forward to taking you behind the scenes. The guided tour takes about an hour. more
