The monumental sculpture LOVE & PEACE, the most ambitious project by Ana Tzarev, artist of Croatian origian based in New York, will be showcased from May until the end of summer at the square of the piazzeta of the National Theatre in Prague, Czech Republic. ANA TZAREV'S work LOVE & PEACE, a larger than life flower sculpture has been previously showcased i.e. at the Saatchi Gallery in London, in Shenzhen and the National Museum in Rome. Current exhibitions of this monumental sculpture include London's Park Lane and the Academy of Fine Art in Rome. In collaboration with the Glass School in Nový Bor, Ajeto Glassworks (both CZ) and the New Stage of National Theatre in Prague the company Circus Glass Royale (SE) will perform in the Czech Republic 2 performances in two different contexts; in the glassworkshop run by Ajeto and at the piazzeta of the National Theatre. The performance Black Madonna portrays the creative process taking place when designing and making art glass. The forces of creation are materialized in the Black Madonna sculpture.The circus artist physically embodies the transformation from hot to cold glass. The music is composed on glass instruments and the sounds from the making of the glass. Piazzeta of National Theater will host outdoor program of reSITE festival by the end of May (25 – 27). Internationally recognized art-architectural formation Raumlabor Berlin will build a temporary design pavilion called ROSY that will change into a living manifestation of reSITE platform – open ideas and collaborative design for more livable cities.
